சமையல் வேலைக்காக சென்ற  திருமண மண்டபத்தில்  மணப்பெண்ணை யோகிபாபுவின் நண்பர்கள் கடத்தி  விடுகிறார்கள். அதனால் போலீஸ் அவரை கைது செய்துவிடுகிறது.போலீசிடம் இருந்து எப்படி வெளியே வந்தார்  என்பதை ஒரு இரவுக்குள் நடக்கும் படி கலகல காமெடி கலந்த திரைக்கதையாக  “ பட்லர் பாலு “ படத்தை உருவாக்கி இருக்கிறார்

2019 to be a special year for director Sam Anton

More than claiming 2019 to be a special year for director Sam Anton, it’s deliberately a ‘Double Delight’ phase for him. While his “100” had a remarkable run in box office with 50 successful days, his immediate next “Gurkha” featuring Yogi Babu in lead role is all set to have its realms from this Friday (July 12). There’s sumptuous reception for the film owing to the fun-filled trailer and songs, which carries the big brand names as well. 

With the visual promos kindling our interests to know if it’s yet another spoof based movie, director Sam Anton says, “This isn’t a spoof movie. Yes, there are few elements that will definitely serve as a spoof, but the main core of the film is set against an emotional backdrop.” Getting back to the memories of how the concept of ‘Gurkha’ was initiated, he adds, “It all happened during the editing of “100”, where Ruben and I took a break for a while. It was a rainy night and what supposedly was a situation to conceive a love story turned out to be unconventional ideation, where we started discussing about this comedy-thriller. The very next day, we approached Yogi Babu Sir and narrated him the gist. To our surprise, he agreed to be a part of this film and then we started working full-fledged on the script.” 

Talking about Canadian model Elyssa Erhadt, Sam Anton says, “She was so nice throughout the shoot and extended her support thoroughly. There were many instances, where she kept reworking on her portions before facing the camera. In fact, such efforts made us complete the project on time.” Getting on with the major highlight of a cute Labrador ‘Undertaker’, Sam says, “Yes, he is going to be yet another attraction. Actually, the story is about an underdog Gurkha and a Labrador, which is labeled as ‘fit for nothing’ becoming overnight heroes when terrorists have hijacked a shopping mall.” 

Being one of the producers for 4 Monkeys Studio, Sam Anton says, “Everyone from Sivakarthikeyan brother and GV Prakash has been completely helpful in nurturing the enhancement of Gurkha. Despite the busy schedule, Sivakarthikeyan took his personal time to pen lyrics for a song (Poya) and it didn’t end there. He would personally call up and ask how the song is shaping up. Such love and support have been the great pillars for our entire team.”  

Krishnan Vasant is handling cinematography for this film that has musical score by Raj Aryan and editing by Ruben.

Yogi Babu starrer “Gurkha” album is spangled with celebration of Sivakarthikeyan, Vignesh Shivn, Arunraja Kamaraj and GV Prakash

Comedy actor Yogi Babu has become the lucky mascot of all the movies and his brand name has become an integral part of them. He makes his debut in lead role through the movie ‘Gurkha’ has generated good expectations across the months. The film’s audio launch was held in grandeur this morning that was graced by the eminent personalities of Tamil film industry including veteran playback singer SP Balasubramaniam and Siddarth. 

The ‘Gurkha’ album has etched an instant attention for having the big names involved. Actor Sivakarthikeyan, Vignesh Shivn and Arunraja Kamaraj have penned lyrics. In addition, music director GV Prakash and Arunraja Kamaraj have crooned a song each. All these songs composed by music director Raj Aryan based on different styles have turned to be the special attractions.  

Gurkha is written and directed by Sam Anton and is produced by 4 Monkeys Studio. Krishnan Vasant is handling cinematography with Ruben on editing. Raj Aryan is composing music and other the technical crew includes Siva Sankar (Art), PC (Stunt), Sathish Krishnan (Choreography), Vasuki Bhaskar (Costumes), PS Chandrasekar (Makeup), AR Murugan (Stills)

Arulnithi-Shraddha Srinath starrer ‘K13’ Teaser spins off curiosities to peak

Teasers have now become the real acid tests, where the responsibility becomes so much intense to exhibit the film’s premise in shorter duration. Moreover, things turn to be slightly complex, where revealing anything more than the limits could be a spoiler.  However, filmmaker Barath Neelakantan’s K13 teaser featuring Arulnithi and Shraddha Srinath in lead roles stands out to be a tremendous one. The 84 seconds teaser has stormed up the viewers with unlimited curiosities to know what this film is is all about. The relentless questions like is it is hostage drama, psychological thriller or fantasy one, etc – keeps resonating. Ask filmmaker Barath and he says, “It was literally more challenging to finalize the teaser as we had to go through many other versions too. Thanks to my team, especially editor Ruben for his creative approach. As said, anything more than this could turn out to be a suspense spoiler.” Regarding the genre and premise of the story, he says, “Yes, it’s a thriller and the rest is something audience should experience it themselves on big screens.” 

In addition, the director Barath Neelakantan has taken a blind bet of revealing all the characters including filmmaker Adhik Ravichandran, who was recently reported of playing a crucial role in this movie. “We wanted this teaser not just to be a curtain raiser, but to be a slightest attempt to establish characters too. These days, audiences and film buffs are keen on knowing even the minimal roles even before watching the film. So we attempted something on this and are happy that people have now recognised the characters.”

Veteran filmmaker SP Muthuraman pays surprise visit to ‘Dharma Prabhu’ shooting spot 

The legendary filmmaker of all times, who is acclaimed beyond decades, especially for more than 20 films with Superstar Rajinikanth. Veteran moviemaker SP Muthuraman is still a hard working personality in Tamil film industry, where we find him regularly visiting his office room at AVM Studios, where he doesn’t even show a pinch of attitude of having delivered so many blockbusters. It was such a surprising moment for the entire team of ‘Dharma Prabhu’, where he silently stood outside the sets and kept observing it. While the producer P Ranganathan andothers had rushed towards him, he just politely asked that if he comes inside and visit the set works.  Such a humble gesture was almost like  surprisal dew soaking everyone by the twilight hours. 

After visiting the sets, he instantly said, “It’s been a long time I saw such grand set works being erected here (AVM Studios) and it revives my golden memories here.” 

Even while posing for photos, he was so much genuine asking the team to stand against the proper lighting. It was like a mentor visiting the sets of a protégé and everyone felt so much blessed. 

Dharma Prabhu is a fantasy based comedy genre set against the backdrops of Yama Lokham featuring Yogi Babu and Ramesh Thilak in lead roles. The film is directed by Muthu Kumaran and is produced by P. Ranganathan. The team has now completed shooting the first schedule in grand set works erected at the whopping budget of 2Cr. The new schedule will commence within next couple of weeks.

With the season of Yogi Babu spreading out across the year, here is ‘Dharmaprabhu’, which will feature him in lead role. The shooting of this film commences from today in Chennai, where huge set works worth Rs.2 Cr have been erected. “Vetri Vetri Amogha Vetri .Naam Plus One – Amogha Vetri” was the dialogue spoken by Yogi Babu on the first shot of this film that was held before few minutes. 

The story is set against the fictional backdrops of Yamalokam with a humour treatment. Yogi Babu will be seen playing the role of son Yama and Radharavi as his father Yama. Ramesh Thilak would be appearing as Chitra Guptan and there are lots of prominent actors in the film. 

Muthukumaran is already gearing up for the release of his debut film ‘Kanni Rasi’ featuring Vemal and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in lead roles. He is directing this film, which is produced by P. Ranganathan for P. Vaari Film. The technical crew includes Justin Prabhakaran (Music), Mahesh Muthuswamy (Cinematography), San Lokesh (Editing), CS Balachandran (Art), Murugan (Costumes) and Joseph Jaxson (Designer).

The shooting of Tamil film industry’s first ever Zom-Com tilted ZOMBIE started rolling from today in Chennai. Filmmaker Ponram gave the first clapboard and Manobala acted in first shot. The shooting will continue in Chennai and will completed in a single stretch. 

The film is directed by Bhuvan Nullan R, who earlier made the film MO,  a horror-comedy flick.

Yogi B, Bigg Boss” fame Yashika Anand, ‘YouTube’ icons – Gopi and Sudhakar of Paridhaabangal fame, T.M. Karthi, 

Manobala, ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ fame Anbu Dasan, Bijili Ramesh, Ramar, Lollu Sabha Manohar, ‘Musically’ fame Pugazh Chitra form the  star-cast.
