VELAMMAL EXCELS IN CHESS
Master Pranav V, Class X, Velammal Vidyalaya Mel Aynambakkam has clinched the first place in the 68th Tamil Nadu State Open FIDE Rated Chess Championship with the score 9 out of 9 to defend his title held at Tirunelveli between 29th March, 2021 and 2nd April, 2021.
It was organised by Tirunelveli District Chess Development Association on behalf of Tamil Nadu State Chess Association where 374 participants across the State participated.
This 9 - round tournament was played in the classical format and was the first FIDE Rated over the board event held in India since the pandemic last year.
The Management congratulates the extraordinary achievement of Master Pranav and wishes him a successful Chess career in the years to come.
