CURTAIN RAISER - Created by Ivan Goff & Ben Roberts as a television series in 1976, its film franchise began in 2000 as a continuation of the original television series! The film version-Charlie’s Angels (2000) had more of comic elements unlike the television series & which was showcased as an action comedy by director McG.  

The theme was about 3 women working in a private detective agency in Los Angeles whose unseen boss, Charlie would delegate challenging assignments, giving instructions orally! The film’s success pave way for Charlie’s Angels: Full throttle (2003) which was a sequel to 2000's Charlie's Angels & the 2nd installment in the Charlie's Angels film series. Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore & Lucy Liu played the ‘Angels’ in both the movies.

SYNOPSIS - Now comes in the 3^rd installment in the series as the next generation of fearless Charlie’s Angels - Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott & Ella Balinska. The trio work for the mysterious Charles Townsend, whose security & investigative agency has expanded globally! With the world’s smartest, bravest & most highly trained women all over the globe, there are now teams of Angels taking on the toughest jobs everywhere!

Charlie's Angels have always provided security & investigative skills to private clients.

When a young systems engineer tries to act selfishly which would be bad to others as well as harmful as dangerous technology is used, these Angels are called into action, putting their lives on the line to protect people.

CREDITS – Screenplay & Directed by Elizabeth Banks who has also co-produced & acted in a crucial role as Susan Bosley. It is worth noting that Elizabeth debuted as a director through Pitch Perfect 2.

KickO from Sony YAY! multiplies the happiness for kids in Chennai! 

 

KickO from Sony YAY!, the kid’s entertainment channel from Sony Pictures Networks India, visited Chennai for the first time ever. He met the city kids at Besant Nagar. The kids present there were super excited to see him. KickO who is famous for his kicks and dance moves, taught city kids some cool moves. Adding to these fun moments, the adorable character was seen clicking pictures and enjoying endlessly with the children present. The big smiles on the faces of kids were truly genuine and only created special memories for everyone. Apart from the kids, the parents were seen having a good time with the character as well.

Sony YAY! is available for kids in their local language Tamil as well.

Drawing from what kids love – Super Powers, the car emerges from KickO’s wristwatch ‘R7’, which promises to capture kids’ imagination through high-quality 3D animation and edge of the seat excitement in every episode.
