Produced by Vishnu Vishal Studioz and Vels Film International, the sequel to the blockbuster film Gatta Kusthi, starring Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi, has officially begun with a grand pooja today!

Directed by Chella Ayyavu, the first part of Gatta Kusthi, released in 2022, became a blockbuster hit. Now, the much-awaited sequel Gatta Kusthi 2 has taken off on a grand scale with a formal launch ceremony.

Yesterday, ahead of the official launch, the promo video released by the makers went viral, receiving massive response from fans. The video featured Vishnu Vishal, Ishari K Ganesh, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Karunas, Kali Venkat, Munishkanth, and director Chella Ayyavu himself. Filled with hilarious comedy, the promo gave a strong hint that the film will once again be a laugh riot and entertainer.

While the first part concluded its story, this sequel will continue in the same universe, shaping into a sports drama genre that touches upon everyday household issues with comedy, making it a wholesome commercial entertainer.

The lead pair Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi reprise their roles, while Karunas, Kali Venkat, Munishkanth, and Gajaraj return from the first part. Actor Karunakaran also joins the cast in a pivotal role.

Alongside Vishnu Vishal Studioz, Vels Film International has come on board to produce this sequel on a grand budget. Shubhra, Aryan Ramesh, and Ishan Saxena of Ivy Entertainment will serve as co-producers.

The shoot is planned to take place in a single stretch across Chennai, Ambasamudram, Pollachi, and Palakkad.
