Actor Gautham Karthik looks completely excited as his much-awaited film ‘Pathu Thala’ is getting ready for the worldwide theatrical release on March 30, 2023. The actor shares his experience of working with actor Silambarasan, director Obeli N Krishna, and the entire team in this movie. 

Actor Gautham Karthik says, “Just like how a debut film is important for an actor, a breakthrough project becomes mandatory for them.  Pathu Thala is more of an emotional essence to me. The whole process has been so challenging and meaningful. It’s complete teamwork, and without a single team member, this project would have not been completed perfectly as planned. We had to go through lots of unbearable odds including a couple of pandemic phases. My heartiest thanks to producers Jayantilal Gada and K.E.Gnanavelraja for their kind gesture of supporting me. If not for Silambarasan brother, Pathu Thala would have remained an unfulfilled project. The way, he strained and went through excruciating challenges for my sake leaves me speechless. He had gone through a physical transformation, and I am not sure if anyone would boldly decide to gain weight again for a project. This is beyond imagination, and he made it happen. His dedication and passion for what he does is the reason why he enjoys such an amazing fan base. His screen presence and performance will be a magnificent treat for the fans. Priya Bhavani Shankar has been a wonderful co-star. Her punctuality and sincerity are inspiring. Director Krishna sir is the pillar and has carried the entire project on his shoulder. AR Rahman sir is considered the God Father of many actors, and I always look up as a great inspiration. It’s a blessing to be working with such an adorable icon, and I am cherishing the beautiful songs he has given for me in this movie.” 

Pathu Thala is produced by K.E.Gnanavelraja of Studio Green and Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios and is directed by Obeli N Krishna. The film features Silambarasan TR, Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalamm, Anu Sithara & others in the star cast. AR Rahman composed the music, Farook j Basha handled the cinematography, Praveen KL has taken care of editing and Milan is the art director of this film.
