Multi-starrers in Tamil cinema are an uncommon spectacle, demanding intricate groundwork and distinctive expertise that only a select few can execute with finesse. Significantly, Lokesh Kanagaraj created a new cinematic universe of ‘LCU’ (Lokesh Cinematic Universe), and the fans’ excitement knows no bounds at even the smallest buzz surrounding it. 

And now it’s time celebrate another entrant into the massive cinematic universe. The producers of Passion Studios, G Squad and The Route have officially announced that shooting of ‘Benz’ has kick-started with a ritual pooja ceremony today (May 12, 2025) in Chennai. The event was graced by the film’s cast and crew including lead actor Raghava Lawrence, Bakkiyaraj Kannan - Director of this Film, alongside others from the team. 

While Raghava Lawrence is playing the principle lead role talks are on with two other prominent stars of national prominence to play the other two lead roles and there are many exciting inclusions to the star-cast, which will emblazon the project with a never-before excitement among fans. 

Bakkiyaraj Kannan, who earlier shot to fame for his commercial blockbusters like Remo and Sulthan is writing the screen play and directing this film, for which the story is written by Lokesh Kanagaraj. As of now, Samyuktha Menon has been officially announced as the female lead, with further cast announcements expected to follow soon.

Sai Abhyankkar, who has been creating new musical trend in South industry is composing music for this film, which will boast of a top-notch technical grandeur. 

The film is produced by Sudhan Sundaram of Passion Studios in association with Lokesh Kanagaraj’s G Squad & Jagadish Palanisamy’s The Route for a mammoth budget, and is presented by Lokesh Kanagaraj.  This shoot is spread across more than 120 days in various significant cities across the country and also in many parts of the UAE . Goutham George is handling cinematography, Philomin Raj is overseeing editing and Jacki is the art director for this film while the ace master of action choreography Anal Arasu is  sharing his entire experience in terms of action choreography to this project and this mega budget film is tipped to be the biggest action entertainer of the year.
