Tamilnadu Athletic Association conducting the 6th Open National Race Walking championship from 16th to17th February, 2019
Tamilnadu Athletic Association has been given the honour of conducting the *6th Open National Race Walking* to be held in Anna Salai, Chennai on 16th & 17th February, 2019 from 6.00am to 10.00am. *Honorable Minister MA FOI K.PANDIARAJAN*, Tamil Cultural & Archeology, Government of Tamilnadu. Will inaugurate the meet at 6.00am on 16.02.2018 along with *Thiru.W.I. DAVARAM, IPS., President,TNAA., Thiru. Dheeraj Kumar, IAS., Principal Secretary, Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Thiru.T.K. Rajendran, IPS., DGP, L&O. Thiru. Jayanth Murali, IPS., ADGP, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption. Thiru. Sylendra Babu, IPS., ADGP., Railways, Thiru. C.K. Valson, Secretary, AFI.*
*Nearly 200 athletes, Indian athletes and including Chinese Taipei and Malaysian* teams will be vying for the honour in this prestigious Championship. The categories are International events 50km Men & 20km Women, 10km for the both Boys & Girls (under 20 years). This Championship (Men & Women) will serve as trial for selection of Race Walkers for participation in *Asian Race Walking Championship to be held at Nomi City (Japan) on 17th March 2019..*
