 Perumal Murugan's 'Kodithuni' Adapted into a Film, *Angammal* Receives Official Selection at Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI)










Chennai: Perumal Murugan's short story 'Kodithuni' has been adapted into a film called *Angammal* and it has received an official selection under the Focus South Asia section at the Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI). 


The movie *Angammal* is directed by Vipin Radhakrishnan and produced under the banner of Njoy Films by actor-singer Firoz Rahim and cinematographer Anjoy Samuel. It presents a fresh interpretation of Perumal Murugan's acclaimed short story, 'Kodithuni.' Anjoy Samuel, one of the producers, has also handled the cinematography for the film.


Cast: Geetha Kailasam, Saran, Bharani, Thendral Raghunathan, Mullai Arasi, Baby Yasmin, among others.
