JioHotstar proudly presents “Nadu Center”, a high-energy, emotionally charged coming-of-age web series set in the world of school basketball, streaming exclusively from November 20th. The official trailer, now live, offers a glimpse into an inspiring story of second chances, friendship, and transformation through sport.

Nadu Center follows PK, a 17-year-old national-level basketball player expelled from an elite school for alleged misconduct. Transferred to a notorious institution plagued by violence and indiscipline, PK struggles to fit in until the Vice Principal sees in him the potential to lead change. Tasked with building a basketball team out of the school’s most unruly students, PK begins an unexpected journey of leadership and self-discovery — fighting prejudice, earning trust, and reviving the school’s lost pride.

A refreshing sports-drama and heartfelt youth story, Nadu Center introduces a vibrant lineup of debutant actors including Surya S K, Surya Vijay Sethupathy, Sarah Black, Terrance, Mukesh, Dom, Yashwanth, Sahana, Madhuvasanth, Arti, Kishore, Jeeva, Nandagopal, Tara Amala Joseph, and Shivam. The series also features powerful performances by acclaimed actors Asha Sharath, Kalaiyarasan, and M. Sasikumar, who bring depth and gravitas to pivotal roles.

Created and directed by Naru Narayanan, and written by Naru Narayanan, Kerthi, and Nirmal, Nadu Center is a visually rich and emotionally grounded story that uses basketball as a metaphor for ambition, teamwork, and redemption. 

The series’ technical excellence is powered by Hestin (Director of Photography), Vishal Chandrashekar (Music Director), Venkat (Editor), and Jackie (Art Director). The show is produced by Arabhi Athreya, Avinaash Hariharan, and Senthil Veeraasamy under the banner of Aqua Bulls Content.

Director Naru says, “Nadu Center is a sports drama series that not only revolves around a high school basketball team, but also deals with their personal lives and lifestyle. This story is partly inspired from my life. I used to play basketball in high school and joined a school with no basketball team, court or coach. I eventually made friends there, formed a team and went for matches. I met some of the most genuine people there, and experienced real and raw form of friendship. We have attempted to portray that unadulterated bond and togetherness in this series. 

Director Sasikumar plays a coach in this series, and he tells PK (one of the leads) that basketball will help him in some way some day, lifelong. This was told to me by my coach, and after so many years, it has come true, both for myself and the actor that played PK (SK Surya). We both got our first project because of basketball, which made the process of making this series doubly fun and soulful.”
