*SHRADDHA KAPOOR IS THE HINDI VOICE OF THE FIERCE AND DYNAMIC COP JUDY HOPPS IN DISNEY’S ZOOTOPIA 2!*
At a special press conference held for the announcement of the Hindi version of Disney’s highly anticipated film, Zootopia 2, actress Shraddha Kapoor shared her excitement about embodying Judy Hopps in Hindi.
Shraddha Kapoor is the Hindi voice of the fierce and dynamic police officer Judy Hopps, with the film scheduled for release on November 28th.
During the conference, Shraddha spoke candidly about how deeply she identifies with the character of the bunny cop. She emphasized the parallels in their personalities,"Judy Hopps is a character who has a lot in common with me; she has her head firmly on her shoulders and I could definitely relate to her 'enthu cutlet' aspect. She is authoritative when she has to be, and soft when the moment calls for it. It was a lot of fun being Judy."
Shraddha further elaborated on the creative process of lending her voice to an animated character, noting how liberating the experience was: "Giving my voice for an animated character is a very different and freeing experience. As kids, we used to imitate a lot of people, and now to lend my voice to a bunny who is funny and cool was just incredibly enjoyable. I had to modulate my voice to match her—when she’s angry, when she’s being silly—and I was in such a good mood to explore all of that. It requires you to truly be the character's voice."
A major highlight of the event was the screening of a special unit, where the press witnessed Shraddha Kapoor fully embodying Judy Hopps' personality—her energy, perseverance, and warmth—proving that the choice to cast her goes beyond just finding a voice.
