 KJR Studios' next is a thriller titled 'Rubam'

KJR Studios, a reputed production house known for its interesting choice of stories, is to next produce a gripping, intense thriller titled 'Rubam'.

The production house, which has delivered critically acclaimed superhits such as Aram, which featured Nayanthara in the lead, and  Ka Pae Ranasingam, which featured Aishwarya Rajesh and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead, decided that it would produce this thriller titled 'Rubam' after being impressed with the story narrated to it by debutant director K Thamarai Selvan.

KJR Studios, known for its tendency of not sparing any expenses when it comes to spending on a good story, will be making this film into a highly enjoyable, intense thriller full of twists.

Actress Parvathi Nair has been roped in to play the lead in this thriller that will have Ghibran scoring its music.

Bollywood actor Freddy Daruwala too will be seen essaying an important role in this film. Interestingly, this will be his first Tamil film.  

Sudarshan Srinivasan will be the cinematographer of this film, while Sarathkumar will be its editor.

The film's stunts will be taken care of by well known stunt master Peter Hein and art direction will be by Gopi.

The film's shooting is to begin in Chennai and the unit is making preparations for it. The other members of the cast are being finalised.

அந்த வரிசையில் இணைகிறது 'ரூபம்'. எப்போதுமே கதைக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் அளித்து, அது கேட்கும் பிரம்மாண்டத்தை வழங்கி வரும் நிறுவனம் கே.ஜே.ஆர் ஸ்டுடியோஸ். அறம் தொடங்கி சமீபத்திய க/பெ ரணசிங்கம் வரையில் அந்நிறுவனம் தொடர்ச்சியாக வெற்றி நடைபோட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது.
அறிமுக இயக்குநர் தாமரை செல்வன் கூறிய கதை மிகவும் பிடித்துவிடவே, உடனே தயாரிப்பில் இறங்கியுள்ளது. அடுத்த காட்சியை யூகிக்க முடியாத அளவுக்கு சூப்பர் நேச்சுரல் த்ரில்லர் பாணியில் 'ரூபம்' தயாராகவுள்ளது. இதில் பார்வதி நாயர் கதையின் நாயகியாக நடிக்க ஒப்பந்தமாகியுள்ளார்.

 

 
த்ரில்லர் படங்கள் என்றாலே தொழில்நுட்பக் கலைஞர்கள் பிரதானமாக இருக்க வேண்டும். 'ரூபம்' கதைக்கு அழகு சேர்க்க ஒளிப்பதிவாளராக சுதர்சன் ஸ்ரீனிவாசன், இசையமைப்பாளராக ஜிப்ரான், சண்டைக் காட்சிகளுக்கு இயக்குநராக பீட்டர் ஹெய்ன், எடிட்டராக சரத்குமார், கலை இயக்குநராக கோபி ஆகியோர் பணிபுரியவுள்ளனர்.

'ரூபம்' படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு சென்னையில் துவங்கவுள்ளது. அதற்கான ஆயத்தப் பணிகளில் படக்குழு பணிபுரிந்து வருகிறது. இதில் பார்வதி நாயருடன் முன்னணி இந்தி நடிகர் ஃப்ரெடி டாருவாலா முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரத்தில் நடிக்கவுள்ளார். அவர் தமிழில் ஒப்பந்தமாகியுள்ள முதல் படம் இதுவாகும். இதர நடிகர்கள் தேர்வு மும்முரமாக நடைபெற்று வருகிறது.
2021ம் ஆண்டில் த்ரில்லர் ரசிகர்களுக்கு ஒரு அறுசுவை விருந்துக் காத்திருக்கிறது என்று உறுதியாக நம்பலாம்!

“அயலான்” பெயர் வெளியாவதற்கு முன்பு, இப்படம் ஆரம்பித்த தருணத்திலிருந்தே பலரது புருவத்தை உயர்த்தி, எதிர்பார்ப்பின் உச்சத்தை விதைத்த படமாக மாறியிருக்கிறது.  தமிழில் அறிவியல்புனைவு கதைகள் என்பது முயற்சிக்கபடாத அரிய  கனவு. ஹாலிவுட்டின்  வெற்றி சரித்தரமாக விளங்கும்   இந்த அறிவியல் புனைவு வகை படத்தை பிரமாண்டமாக தமிழில் தர தயாராகியுள்ளது “அயாலான்” குழு. சிவகார்த்திகேயனின் பிறந்தநாள் சிறப்பாக 17.02.2020 அன்று  “டாக்டர்” படக்குழு தங்கள் படத்தின் ஃபர்ஸ்ட் லுக்கை வெளியிட அதனை ரசிகர்கள் கொண்டாடி தீர்க்கும் முன், அவர்களுக்கு அடுத்ததொரு இன்ப அதிர்ச்சியாக, “அயலான்” படத்தின் ஃபர்ஸ்ட் லுக்கை வெளியிட்டிருக்கிறது இப்படத்தின் படக்குழு. ஏற்கனவே A. “அயலான்” படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு 75 சதவீதம் முடிக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டது. மொத்த படப்பிடிப்பும் முடிய  இன்னும் இரண்டு கட்ட படப்பிடிப்பு மட்டுமே மீதமிருக்கிறது. போஸ்ட் புரடக்‌ஷன் பணிகளும் படப்பிடிப்புடன் இணையாக நடைபெற்று வருகிறது.தமிழின் பிரமாண்டமான அறிவியல் புனைகதை ( சயின்ஸ் ஃபிக்‌ஷன் )  படமாக இப்படம் உருவாகிறது. எனவே படத்தில் அதிகளவிலான  விஷுவல் எஃபெக்ட்ஸ் காட்சிகள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன. அதனை முன்னிட்டு படப்பிடிப்பின் போதே போஸ்ட் புரடக்‌ஷன் பணிகளும் இணையாக நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. இந்தியா முழுதும் முன்னணி நாயகியாக வலம் வரும் ராகுல் ப்ரீத் சிங் சிவகார்த்திகேயன் ஜோடியாக நடிக்கிறார். காமெடி ராஜாக்களாக வலம் வரும் கருணாகரன், யோகிபாபு ஆகிய இருவரும் இப்படத்தில் சிவகார்த்திகேயனுடன் இணைந்து காமெடி செய்கிறார்கள். பாலிவுட்டில் மிக  சிறந்த நடிகராக விளங்கும் சரத் கேல்கர் ஒரு முக்கிய பாத்திரத்தில் நடிக்கிறார்.

Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Ayalaan’ has never missed triggering off the bonanzas in an unlimited mode from the time it went on floors. The film has found an unprecedented caliber of keeping the spotlights turned statically upon it. Especially, with the recent announcement of the title that was packaged along with the signature tunes of AR Rahman has intensified the film’s attention factors. With the actor delivering an enchanting treat for his birthday through the first look of ‘Doctor’ this morning (February 17, 2020), the team of “Ayalaan” doesn’t want to leave the twilight hours fade without celebrations and have unveiled the film’s first look now.  

Currently, the film has completed 75% of shooting with just 2 more schedules left for the entire filming to wrap up. The post-production phase is simultaneously happening as the entire VFX team has already started working on the visual effects. Rakul Preet Singh, who has carved a niche as one of the leading Pan-Indian actresses is playing the female lead as Sivakarthikeyan’s love interest. The hilarious quotients are going to be unlimited as Karunakaran and Yogi Babu will offer them in abundance. Bollywood’s well-celebrated actor Sharad Kelkar will be seen essaying a pivotal role in this film. With RD Raja producing the film for 24 AM Studios, KJR Studios Kotapadi J Rajesh will be releasing it worldwide.

The inquisitiveness has already peaked up higher as AR Rahman will be crooning Sivakarthikeyan’s introduction number, which was revealed by the action himself earlier. Adding visual magic with unique treatment from one film to another, Nirav Shah’s cinematography will be one of the promising assets of Ayalaan, which has editing by Ruben.

The big budget fantasy film is to be jointly produced by KJR Studios

Fantasy films always have a tendency to garner attention. One such fantasy film that is now all set to get made is Aalambana.

Films that have been made on Aladdin have always won the hearts of audiences, especially  children. Aalambana too is being made on similar lines and has a unique concept that is bound to make it appealing to all kinds of audiences.

The big budget fantasy film is to be jointly produced by KJR Studios, the firm which released the immensely successful Ajith-starrer Viswasam, and producer Chandru.

Written and directed by Pari.K. Vijay, the film will be a full-fledged commercial fantasy entertainer. Pari K Vijay, who will be making his debut as a director through Aalambana, has worked on quality films like Mundasupatti and Indru, Netru, Naalai as an assistant director.

Vaibhav plays the hero in this full-fledged entertainer and Parvati plays the heroine.

Interestingly, Aalambana is the biggest project (in terms of budget) among all the films that actor Vaibhav has played lead so far. No wonder then, that this will be among the most important  films in actor Vaibhav's career.

The film has an interesting star cast. Apart from Vaibhav and Parvati, it also features Munishkanth in an important role. More importantly, it also marks the return of Dindugal I Leoni, the famous orator known for his witty speeches, back to the big screen.

To add to the fun quotient, the film also has actors Kaali Venkat and Anandraj.

Murali Sharma too plays an important role in this entertainer which will have Kabir Duhan Singh, the man who played the villain in Vedalam, playing the antagonist.

It is not just the cast that is talented. The film has an equally good technical team.

Music for the film is being scored by Hip Hop Aadhi, whose score for the film Comaali was a superhit. Vinoth Rathinasamy, whose striking visuals in Nedunalvaadai won the hearts of everybody, is the cinematographer of this film. San Lokesh, whose editing in the superhit film Ratsasan came in for widespread praise, is the editor of the film. Well known stunt choreographer Peter Hein heads the stunt team while Gopi Anand is in charge of Art direction.

Industry experts are of the opinion that the film is sure to delight audiences across the board. Shooting of this big budget entertainer is to start soon. The film is expected to release in the summer of 2020.

KJR studios associates with Salman Khan’s distributing “Dabangg 3” in all languages across Tamil Nadu 

2019 has turned to be a special year for KJR Studios as its production and distribution endeavour has made a successful mark.  Apparently, with more exciting projects in the pipeline, KJR Studios has now officially announced its association with Salman Khan Films in distributing all languages of the superstar’s upcoming film “Dabangg 3” in Tamil Nadu.  

Sharing the news, producer Kotapadi J Rajesh, KJR Studios says, “I consider this as a remarkable milestone for KJR Studios and we as a team are extremely happy about it. We at KJR Studios have been focused on producing and distributing films that cater to the tastes of universal audiences. Personally, I have been a hardcore fan of Dabangg franchise as it packages whole lot of entertainment, fun, action, romance, family sentiments and comedy together. Moreover, the kind of response, the film has encountered in Tamil Nadu has been phenomenal and this prompted us to think about getting the movie dubbed in Tamil as well. Especially, with Prabhu Deva teaming up with Salman Khan, everyone in the trade circles were self-assured with 200% success, right from the moment of announcement.  Now, we are so much delighted, joining the Dabangg family and thank Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan,  Aditya Chowksey, Prabhu Deva and others, who were responsible for this great association.” 

Scheduled for worldwide release on December 20, 2019, Dabangg 3 retains the same star-cast - Sonakshi Sinha, Prakash Raj, Mahie Gill and Arbaaz Khan from the previous installments with Kichcha Sudeep joining the league as new entrant. 

Written by Dilip Shukla, Prabhu Deva is helming this film produced by Salman Khan (Salman Khan Films), Arbaaz Khan (Arbaaz Khan Productions) and Nikhil Dwivedi (Saffron Broadcast).  Sajid-Wajid duo is composing songs and BGM is scored by Sandeep Shirodkar with Mahesh Limaye as the cinematographer.

Enthusiasms that never fade and passion for unexplored experiments that never settle has kept Nayanthara as the undisputed queen of South Indian industry. Evidently, AIRAA (Elephant), directed by Sarjun KM  is going to be an archetypical case of such prominence, where she will be seen playing dual roles for the first ever time in her career. The star-cast involves prominent actors like Kalaiarasan, Yogi Babu, JP and few others. The technical crew comprises of KS Sundaramurthy  (Music), Sudarsan Srinivasan (Cinematography), Karthik Jogesh (Editor), Siva Sankar of Aval fame (Art), Priyanka Ravindran (Screenplay) and T Elumalai (Executive Producer). Apart from helming this project, Sarjun K.M. has written story and dialogues for Airaa.
