Shri Gulshan Kumar’sdaughter and Bhushan Kumar’s sister, Khushali, has used this forced ‘me-time’to pen a thought provoking poem about the true significance of life and thethings that are really important. Titled ‘Normal Days – a lockdown message frommy diary’, the poem unveils a deeply sensitive side to actor-model-fashiondesigner Khushali Kumar.

The special lockdownpoem from Khushali Kumar’s diary, gives people hope and echoes everyone’ssentiment of ‘the return of normal days’.

‘Normal Days’recognizes and acknowledges the contribution of our frontline Coronaviruswarriors. The video representation of the poem also throws light on the plightof marginal sections of the society, including migrant workers. It furthermakes a plea to respect nature and environment and to live in harmony with it.
Saysactor-model-fashion designer, Khushali Kumar, “The circumstances we’re in currently are anything but normal. Timesare tough but our will needs to be tougher and that comes with the promise of‘normal days’. These thoughts have been playing on my mind for a while now andI’m sure everyone else too is reminiscing about the good old days. ‘NormalDays’ is my take on respecting and valuing every precious moment and beinggrateful for the gift of life.”
‘Normal Days’ alsofills Khushali with a sense of nostalgia, the pleasant feeling of yore, thatshe has experienced vicariously through her mother’s words. She recalls, “My mother talks so affectionately about thedays of the past, of the simple and humble existence of living in the gallis ofpurani Dilli, which is where she met my dad also. The glow on her face when shenarrates these old stories is magical.”
Interestingly, Khushalihas dedicated her poem to mothers. She reasons, “Through the poem I talk about two mothers.  It starts with my mom and ends with mothernature. Mothers have this patience and love which is unmatched. We need to takecare of mother earth now as these two months have taught us that we can’t takeit for granted anymore and we have to be responsible towards our only home--  Our Planet.”
Says T-Series headhoncho, Bhushan Kumar, “We begin to misssomething only when it’s gone and ‘Normal Days’ is a beautiful poem penned byKhushali that teaches us to see the extraordinary even in day-to-day ordinarysituations. We are in the midst of a pandemic but this has given us time tostep back, change our perspective and reflect on what’s truly important.‘Normal Days’ will inspire all of us to do just that.”
