An Enhanced Version of Newgen’s Customer Communication Management System Released

Newgen Software, a global provider of low code digital automation platform, has launched OmniOMS 9.0, an upgraded version of its customer communication management system.

The latest version of the software provides a robust and unified communications platform linking a variety of information types, information sources, and distribution channels. The embedded functionalities enable users with easy customer communication creation, design composition change management, distribution, and control.

·        Thick Client Enhancements: Enables user-friendly design options, including re-using objects across templates, recycle bin, and design session restoration to prevent loss of unsaved work. Also supports Word document import which can be edited in MSOffice, OpenOffice, and ApachePOI

·        Business Rules Enhancements: Extends rules functionality to allow their re-use across templates and preview designs with various rules

·        Chart Feature Enhancements: Provides an upgraded charts library to support multiple chart types, including line, area, column, bar, pie, donut, semi-donut, and dual axes line and column combo charts

·        Import/Export Templates: Allows users to migrate templates and metadata easily from one environment to another

OmniOMS 9.0 is supported on Windows 2012/2016/2019 (64 bit) Enterprise Server and RedHat Enterprise Linux 7.x,8.x platforms. It also offers cloud support for AWS and Microsoft Azure environments.

Newgen Software reports Revenues of Rs 661 cr in FY’20, Revenues from Cloud Business up by 60%

Company helps enterprise customers adapt to the uncertain environment 
with its low code digital automation platform

The management of Newgen Software Technologies Ltd. announced results 
for the Quarter and Financial year ended 31 March 2020 at its 
Board Meeting held on 26 May 2020.


Speaking about the results, Mr. Diwakar Nigam, Chairman & Managing Director, Newgen Software Technologies Ltd. said – “An uncertain environment calls for extraordinary steps by an organization. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Newgen’s pre-emptive measures, business continuity processes and robust IT infrastructure ensured quick control and seamless transition to remote working environment. Our solutions, developed on our low code digital automation platform, are of mission critical nature for our long term customers. They serve as the backbone of their operations. During this COVID-19 time we ensured their continued operations and business continuity. The Company focused on health and safety of employees while fully supporting clients worldwide. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our employees for showing such dedication towards work.


Our business has heavy dependence on the fourth quarter. However, fourth quarter performance was lower than expected impacted by new business deferments due to restrictions imposed globally starting in February 2020 and the subsequent evacuation operations; as well as continuing economic and banking sector slowdown in India market.

While in the short term the environmental challenges are expected to continue to lead to delay in new deals signings, we believe that today, the relevance and requirement of our digital solutions for enterprises is more than ever. We are thus transforming ways of working by aggressively pursuing cloud deployments across the globe.

We believe that our annuity revenue streams from existing customers would help maintain stability in revenues. Our concerted efforts towards more efficient operations and cost optimization for cash preservation would help us maintain a healthy liquidity position during this phase.”

Key Consolidated Financial Highlights (FY’20) – [Y-o-Y Comparison]

·         Revenue from operations (Consolidated) up 6.5% YoY at Rs 660.8 crores as compared to Rs 620.6 crores in FY’19.  The business has heavy dependence on the fourth quarter impacting the overall performance. During the year, Newgen witnessed growth across the board in its key geographies. India, however, continued to face challenges on account of economic sluggishness in NBFC and Banking as well as banking consolidation. 

o   Annuity Revenue streams (ATS/AMC, Support and Cloud/SaaS) were at Rs 368.6 crores. Cloud/SaaS deployments are rapidly increasing in all geographies – US, APAC, India, as well as in the EMEA region. Cloud Revenues were Rs 38.3 crores and witnessed a growth of 60% YoY.
o   Revenue from Sale of Products/ License were at Rs 117.7 crores
o   Implementation & Digitization revenues were at Rs 174.5 crores

Profit after tax down at Rs 72.7 crores on account of slower growth in top-line and continued investments in R&D & Sales and Marketing efforts. 

Key Consolidated Financial Highlights (Q4 FY’20) – [Y-o-Y Comparison]

·         Revenue from operations (Consolidated) at Rs 190.8 crores as compared to Rs 204.0 crores in Q4 FY’19 due to delay in new deal closures on account of COVID-19 related lockdowns and restrictions imposed globally.

·         EBITDA* was at Rs 51.9 crores and Profit after tax was at Rs 41.5 crores.

Key Business Highlights (Q4 FY’20)
·         Seamless transition to remote working environment: Company implemented its business continuity plan, executed just-in-time requisition and provision of computers, enabled VPNs and internet connectivity, and provided team collaboration tools. 
    Today, 90% of the workforce across locations is efficiently working remotely with data security
and compliance. Newgen is ensuring seamless customer services by leveraging digital
connectivity to successfully execute each stage of project deployments (from requirements
gathering, to project planning, to implementation and production support) as well as sales
and marketing efforts 
B Banking and Financial Services vertical continued to be our largest vertical comprising
60% of revenues during the quarter followed by Government/ PSU (10%), BPO/IT (7%)
and Healthcare and Insurance (6% each). Low presence in currently impacted
verticals due to the pandemic.  

·         Prestigious customer wins: 21 new customer additions in Q4 FY’20 including:
o   Large project with a leading Pan-African financial institution, offering banking services to more than 18 million customers, across 1,000 business offices and customer touch points in 20 African countries
o   License Agreement with a key government ministry in India
o   4 cloud agreements in the US including a deal with a leading provider of property casualty insurance for auto, home and business
o   Mid-sized project with one of the largest Bahamian banks with $1.7 billion in assets

·         R&D Efforts:
o   Received Patent for Mark Detection System and Methodology from US Patent Office
o   Secured Patent for a System and Method for Automatic Quality Assessment of Digital Documents

·         Product Launches: Company’s new version of the product iBPS has low code capabilities and cloud deployments which are very relevant today. Newgen also launched an enhanced version of Customer Communication Management product suite that enables users to easily create, design, and manage HTML email communications.

·         Strategizing new offerings: Newgen is developing and deploying new solutions under the Paycheck Protection Program to help financial institutions quickly process and forgive loans under the various monetary and fiscal interventions introduced by governments globally to to stabilize economic conditions. The Company is prioritizing SaaS based delivery models with all geographies increasingly moving in that direction.   

·         Received approval for setting up a unit in the IT/ITES SEZ  in Noida, Uttar Pradesh from Development Commissioner of Noida Special Economic Zone

Newgen Software reports Revenues of Rs 285cr in H1 FY’20, up 11% YoY

The management of Newgen Software Technologies Ltd. announced results for the Quarter and Financial period ended 30 September 2019 at its Board Meeting held on 22 October 2019.

Speaking about the results, Mr. Diwakar Nigam, Chairman & Managing Director, Newgen Software Technologies Ltd. said – “During H1 FY’20, we witnessed growth across geographies with APAC and Americas region remaining strong. Our efforts on new logos have resulted in us adding 38 new logos including 6 cloud deals in Banking & Healthcare segments in Americas region.
Q2 FY’20 was particularly slow for us given the market headwinds in India and EMEA region. However, we continue to remain focused on our operations and in investing in building capabilities for the future.”

Newgen Software Q2 FY19 PAT up by 183% at Rs 17.77 crores ; Total Income increase by 29%

The management of Newgen Software Technologies Ltd. announced results for the Quarter ended 30 Sep 2018 [Q2 FY’19] at its Board Meeting held on 29 October 2018.
Key Financial Highlights (Q2 FY’19) – [YoY Comparison]
· Total Income (Consolidated) up by 29% YoY to reach Rs 155.48 crores in Q2 FY’19 compared to Rs 120.96 crores in Q2 FY’18. Revenue from operations (Consolidated) witnessed strong growth momentum and was up by 26% YoY to reach Rs 149.66 crores as compared to Rs 118.66 crores in Q2 FY’18 driven by license revenue growth of 57% YoY
o   Revenue from Sale of Products/ License were at Rs  57.6 crores
o   Annuity Revenue streams (ATS/AMC and Support) were at Rs 65.8 crores
o   Cloud/SaaS continues to be our fastest growing revenue component. Cloud/ SaaS revenues were at Rs 5.7 crores
o   Implementation & Digitization revenues were at Rs 20.5 crores
·         EBIDTA (adjusted for other income) was at Rs 20.84 crores up by 139% compared to Rs 8.71 crores in Q2 FY’18.
·         Profit after tax was at Rs 17.77 crores up by 183% compared to Rs 6.27 crores in Q2 FY’18.
·         Basic Earnings per shares was at Rs 2.62 in Q2 FY’19 compared to 1.00 in Q2 FY’18.

We are on a robust growth trajectory across all our key markets; our consolidated total income witnessed a 29% YoY increase in Q2 FY’19 driven by license revenue growth. We have added 22 new customer logos during the quarter; including 5 new wins in the US region. Our Cloud revenues grew by 163% YoY in line with our expectations.  
Key Financial Highlights (Q2 FY’19) – [QoQ Comparison]
·    Total Income (Consolidated) up by 36% QoQ compared to Rs 114.27 crores in Q1 FY’19.
·  Revenue from operations (Consolidated) witnessed strong growth momentum and was up by 41% QoQ compared to Rs 106.47 crores in Q1 FY’19
·   EBIDTA (adjusted for other income) grew multi-fold and was at Rs 20.84 crores compared to Rs 0.56 crores in Q1 FY’19.
·   Profit after tax was up by 360% at Rs 17.77 crores compared to Rs 3.87 crores in Q1 FY’19.
·  Software license business is usually seasonal in nature primarily given the large enterprise account buying patterns leading to substantial revenues and profits booked in the second half of the financial year. First quarter is usually the leanest with enhancement in revenues and profits in each subsequent quarter of a financial year. Growth in profitability was on account of lower base in previous year and favourable currency movement. 
Key Business Highlights
·     Broad-based growth across all key markets: EMEA, USA, APAC and India regions on a stronghold with YoY growth of 47%, 26%, 13%, and 13% respectively
·  Prestigious customer wins made during the year: 22 new customer additions in Q2 FY’19 including 5 in US. Major license deals include agreement with a leading inclusive bank in Africa, a savings bank in Philippines, the largest credit union in  Northeast region of US serving members for 75+ years and a government authority based in Oman for records management
·   Executed an agreement with a global technology player for supply of software licenses and related services. Total Order Size at Rs 78.8 Crores spread over 7 years 
·   In Canada region, for the first time a large NBFC has chosen our Commercial Loan Origination Solution (CLOS) to enhance their commercial lending experience for customers.
·Company continues to strengthen the horizontal product platform with vertical service accelerators: Robust growth across all key verticals especially Healthcare, Government/ PSU and BPO/IT verticals.
· Cloud/ Saas business model strengthening annuity revenues:  In Q2 FY’19, SaaS revenues were at Rs 5.7 crores, 163% YoY increase; In H1 FY’19, total SaaS revenues were at Rs 10.6 crores compared to Rs 4.1 crores in H1 FY’18.
·  Continued focus on product and innovation: We continue to enhance our low-code solutions with improved user interfaces, seamless integration capabilities and enhanced process management capabilities. We have added significant capabilities in Analytics and Mobility to our platforms for customer's seamless digital journeys
